Geely Expands Presence in Western Nepal with New Somarjun Motors Dealership in Butwal
LRR Motors Pvt. Ltd., the authorized importer and distributor of the Geely EX5, JY Air, and BAW Brumby electric vehicles in Nepal, has expanded its presence in the western region by appointing Somarjun Motors as its official dealer for Butwal.
The company also reiterated its ambitious network expansion strategy, announcing that it plans to appoint 14 dealerships across Nepal within a year. This initiative aims to strengthen Geely’s accessibility and support for customers throughout the country.
In our market, the Geely EX5 comes in two variants: EX5 Pro and EX5 Max, priced at Rs 58 lakh and Rs 68 lakh respectively (excluding discounts and add-ons). Both models are powered by a 160 kW electric motor producing 320 Nm of torque, paired with a 60.22 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The EX5 Pro offers a WLTP range of 430 km, while the EX5 Max delivers 425 km.
With the inauguration complete, the Butwal dealership has commenced full operations, including the delivery of two Geely EX5 electric SUVs to local buyers. The facility is equipped to offer comprehensive services—sales, after-sales support, and spare parts—ensuring that customers in Butwal and nearby areas receive convenient and reliable service.
Speaking at the ceremony, LRR Motors Director Jeevan Jung Shahi expressed confidence in the new partnership: he shared that the addition of Somarjun Motors will play a vital role in promoting modern and eco-friendly mobility in western Nepal.
